States vs. The President

Well today is starting out to be very interesting.  Several state Governors and Senators say they refuse to enforce any laws or Executive Orders that violate the Constitution of the United States.  They are already drafting up bills for their states to vote on if any of those Executive Orders or laws that violate the Constitution are signed or passed.
The NRA has launched a New Web add about the President, there are several out there detailing the Presidents lies about his stand on guns.  Now of course these videos are parts of speeches he has give and maybe even out of context to what he was talking about at that moment, but the end results are still there.  The add paints a picture of a President telling you what you want to hear during an election and then doing the opposite after he gets elected.  Now to be fair all politicians do this they are smart and they twist half truths into what the people want to hear.  Once you hear what you want to even if it’s not entirely true you will believe, because you want to believe.
Now in the next few days, weeks or months we will see the Presidents true intentions when it comes to guns.  Maybe he really it just trying to make a safer place to live, but does Gun control create that place?  It depends on who you ask for that answer.  Maybe he thinks this is the easiest way to show he understands the situation but the real fix is beyond his reach. Maybe it is the start of a bigger plan to disarm Americans (if you’re a conspiracy theorist, this would fit your believes). Maybe this is a start to the breakdown of our nation or not.   But we do not know anyone’s true intentions until we see his or her actions, and even those can be deceiving.
The truth is Our Constitution was created on the Ideas and beliefs of a few men and what they thought was fair and right for all at the time. The Constitution insures those rights as long as THE PEOPLE are willing to defend those rights and not just roll over and be told what to do.   There comes a time to make a choice and I think that time is getting close at hand.
